SD Airport to San Ysidro (the US connection to Tijuana) using bus, trolley and taxi.

FROM: SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
TO:      SAN YSIDRO TROLLEY STATION to CAMINO REAL HOTEL

1. Take the MTS BUS route 992 AIRPORT/DOWNTOWN
2. Get off the stop on BROADWAY at KETTNER.
3. Take the BLUE LINE TROLLEY signed BLUE SAN YSIDRO
4. Get off the stop at SAN YSIDRO TROLLEY STATION.
5. Walk across the overpass to the gates that provide entry to pedestrians entering Mexico. 
6. Take the first cabs that you'll encounter directly ahead as you exit and go directly to the Hotel Camino Real.

OPTION #2 - Bus/Shuttle/Cab from Airport
VOLARIS SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM S.D. AMTRAK STATION

FROM: SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
TO:      TIJUANA AIRPORT to HOTEL CAMINO REAL

1. Take the MTS BUS route 992 AIRPORT/DOWNTOWN
2. Get off the stop on BROADWAY at KETTNER.
3. Go to the AMTRAK station and within the station there is a booth for the VOLARIS shuttle to the Tijuana Airport.
4. Purchase ticket on the VOLARIS Shuttle (can be purchased on-line http://www.terraris.com.mx/en/ )
5. When shuttle arrives at the Tijuana airport, take a cab (or perhaps shuttle) to the Hotel Camino Real.
Fare Information

Volaris Shuttle $15 USD
Cab fare from the airport to the hotel: $10 USD

VISA INFORMATION
According to the Mexican Consulate in San Diego, visitors from the U.S. who are not going to be staying in Mexico longer than 7 days need only stop at the Mexican Immigration Office upon entering Mexico to pick up a FMTTV visa for their stay.  There is no fee for this visa since you will not be staying longer than 7 days, and you will not be going to the mainland.  If you are planning further trips within mainland Mexico you will want to contact the Mexican Consulate in San Diego at (619) 308-9953 to see what the requirements may be for longer stays.  Also, ensure that you bring a valid U.S. Passport for reentry into the U.S. after the conference.
